On October 7, 2026 representatives of the Baku Stock Exchange met with a delegation from TheCityUK to discuss opportunities for strengthening Azerbaijan’s integration with international capital markets and facilitating access for Azerbaijani companies to international sources of capital.
The delegation included Chris Ennals, independent IPO expert and TheCityUK Consultant Oliver Wenzel, representing Euroclear and Alexander Thomas, TheCityUK.
The meeting focused on Azerbaijan’s existing regulatory and technical framework for enabling local companies to access international capital markets, including through potential dual-listing opportunities.
During the discussions, the participants exchanged views on the current regulatory and market framework, potential obstacles and practical considerations related to international listings, as well as opportunities to further develop Azerbaijan’s domestic capital market and strengthen its connectivity with international markets.
The Baku Stock Exchange continues to strengthen its international relationships and engage with leading global financial market institutions to support the development of a more connected, transparent and competitive capital market in Azerbaijan.
