The Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) organized a three-day educational programme for students of ADA University as part of World Investor Week, an initiative organized by the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
Throughout the three-day programme, students gained theoretical and practical knowledge on opportunities in the local capital market, operational efficiency in mobile trading, the organization of trading at the Baku Stock Exchange and career opportunities at the Exchange. The interactive format of the programme provided students with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how Azerbaijan’s capital market operates and explore the market environment through practical examples.
The programme concluded with a site tour of the Baku Stock Exchange, where students learned more about the Exchange’s operations and trading infrastructure. The programme also featured a “Ring the Bell for Financial Awareness” ceremony, symbolizing the importance of raising awareness and promoting financial literacy among young people. As part of the ceremony, students had the opportunity to ring the bell at the Baku Stock Exchange.
The Baku Stock Exchange considers enhancing young people’s knowledge of capital markets and raising awareness of career opportunities in the financial sector an important part of advancing financial literacy. In this regard, BSE continues to strengthen its cooperation with universities and create practical learning opportunities for students.
