Baku State University (BSU) is showcasing its innovative technology projects at the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition – ADEX 2026. The university’s exhibition stand features an autonomous all-terrain vehicle, a quadcopter, and the Tigana FPV drone developed by BSU.
The autonomous all-terrain vehicle on display uses a stepper motor-based drive system. Through the optimization of its mechanical and electronic components, the system achieves lower energy consumption compared with similar solutions. The vehicle is designed for a range of logistical and technical applications, including transporting loads in areas that may pose risks to people and performing tasks requiring remote or autonomous operation.
Another project presented at the exhibition is a quadcopter control system developed by BSU. As part of the project, the overall task of controlling the quadcopter’s movement was divided into simpler subtasks, for which computer-based control algorithms were developed. This approach makes it possible to create a more compact and energy-efficient control system. In the absence of a GPS signal, the quadcopter’s movement is controlled using an inertial navigation system.
Among the technological solutions showcased by BSU is also a 7-inch FPV drone. Its carbon-fibre frame and folding-arm mechanism allow the drone to be transported in a compact configuration while providing high manoeuvrability. The system incorporates technical solutions aimed at improving its resilience to radio-frequency interference.
The innovative technology projects presented by BSU at the exhibition have attracted considerable interest from visitors.
