On 4 November 2026, a tree-planting campaign was held in the settlement of Mushfigabad with the participation of representatives of the banking and financial sector. Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) joined this environmental initiative, organised on the eve of Victory Day, contributing to environmental protection and the expansion of green spaces across the country.
The event was organised within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 13 March 2023 between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Banks Association and other financial sector associations.
The Memorandum aims to ensure the planting of a total of one million trees over a ten-year period, starting in 2023, as part of an initiative dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Within this initiative, tree-planting activities were carried out in the Absheron District and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic between 2022 and 2026, with irrigation systems also installed in these areas.
By participating in initiatives of this kind, Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) demonstrates its commitment to the principles of corporate social responsibility.
